Festival of Pentecost

Pentecost is so named because it is commemorated fifty days after Easter. Pentecost is the celebration of the Holy Spirit as God's presence within and among us. In the New Testament book of Acts, the story of the Spirit's arrival to the first Christians is described as a rushing wind and flame. The message of the day is that God's presence in the Spirit comes to all people. Join us for worship this weekend as we celebrate that we too are given the breath of the Holy Spirit and sent out to share God's inclusive love to all.
