A life-long Lutheran, I began working in the church in junior high, when I was recruited to play piano/organ in my little hometown church in South Dakota. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work in music & worship planning with Lutheran Campus Ministry, as church camp staff for 4 summers during college, and for a Christian publishing company which creates written resources for congregations. I’ve also been a high school teacher, both in South Dakota and Tennessee.
When we moved to Madison in 2000 and our children came along, I became a stay-at-home mom and volunteered in the church.
Now as Connections Coordinator here at MCLC, I serve as a sort of human switchboard, connecting our members and friends to one another, to the congregational community, and to ministries to which they feel called. I love getting to know people, hearing their stories, learning about their interests and passions.
My family consists of my husband, John, our two wonderful kids, Levi and Esther, and our well-loved yorkie-poo named Ounce. In my spare time, I love to read, play piano, hike & camp, and spend time with my family.
It’s both an honor and a joy to be part of the wonderful faith community which worships, learns, grows, and serves together here at Midvale!
