Midvale Community Lutheran Church Mission

Our Mission

Mission Statement

Midvale Community Lutheran Church is a Community of Believers in Jesus Christ, Called by the Holy Spirit to Praise, Live and Share God's Love.

Vision Statement

Called by God in grace, Midvale Community Lutheran Church lives out this mission as a community of faith where people of all ages and backgrounds participate in faithful and engaging worship, opportunities that foster spiritual growth and discipleship, welcoming and nurturing fellowship, compassionate outreach and service, and ecumenical partnerships.

Midvale will offer vibrant and inspirational worship, rooted in Lutheran tradition, liturgy, music and relevant preaching, while seeking new and creative expressions; Christ-centered worship empowers us to live out God’s call.

Midvale will provide a church home that nurtures transformational spiritual growth and creates disciples of all ages; discipleship encourages the use of our spiritual gifts to build up the Body of Christ.

Midvale will be a welcoming and invitational community, fostering connections, fellowship, and care for one another; active engagement in the life of our community reflects Christ’s inclusive and compassionate love for all people.

Midvale will have a dynamic program of advocacy and service that encourages all to participate; supporting social and environmental justice means we are part of God’s mission to love and serve the world and all of its people.

Midvale will partner with other congregations and faith traditions in local and global activities that promote justice, peace-making, understanding, and service; involvement in ecumenical activities fosters acceptance, connection and sharing within the whole human family.

Blessed with caring and committed leaders to guide it and members who give generously of their time, talent, and financial resources, Midvale seeks to carry out its understanding of God’s vision for this congregation through the efforts of its ongoing committees and staff, and through actions that address identified priority areas.
