Pastor Blake Accepts Call!

On Sunday, December 8th, at a special congregational meeting, Midvale members voted to call Blake E. Rohrer as a co-pastor at the church. The congregation also voted to amend the call of the current senior pastor, Katie Baardseth, to one of co-pastor. Following a discussion of the Call Committee’s recommendation and the co-pastor model of church leadership, the votes were nearly unanimous.

On Monday, December 9th, Pastor Blake accepted the call, saying: “I gratefully accept the call to Midvale Community Lutheran Church and I am eager to join with the people of Midvale to share in the work of God's mission in the world together. I look forward to renewing and deepening the relationships I already have and to connecting and growing with those I do not yet know.”

Pastor Blake will begin his call at Midvale on Thursday, January 16th. The Rite of Installation for his call will be on Sunday, February 2nd at the 8:00 and 10:30 worship services, with former ELCA Presiding Bishop Mark S. Hanson preaching.
