Sunday School is for children from preschool to 8th grade each Sunday at 9:15am (September through May). Our Youth Education program includes time for experiencing Christian education in many ways, including:
As fully active members of the congregation, our youth are invited to partner in serving on committees, assisting in worship, assisting with children’s ministries and more.
Our confirmation ministry is intended for middle school age youth, and is designed as a program that helps young people learn about their Christian faith, grow in relationships with one another, and have opportunities for fun and service.
Vacation Bible School is fun for all ages, children and adults, beginning the second Monday in August each summer.
What’s that joyful noise coming from the sanctuary on Wednesday nights at 5:45pm?
It’s the Midvale Community Youth Choir kids, of course, and it’s time to get singin’, people!
We believe that all members benefit from regular and challenging educational experiences. We strive to deepen our faith and strengthen our understanding of what it means to be a committed Christian in today’s world.
Bible Studies are held several times throughout the year. Sessions are 4-6 weeks long, offered at both morning and evening times, and are usually led by one of the pastors.
Small Group Study Opportunities occur once or twice a year, led by the pastors and trained volunteer lay leaders. Sessions are often based around an ELCA study book.
Our library is available with up-to-date books, magazines and electronic resources on topics such as theology, devotions, worship and music, biography, holidays.
Women’s Circles are continuing fellowship and Bible study groups that meet regularly and offer an opportunity for women to grow in faith. Additional groups will be set up as interest dictates.
Holy Communion instruction is offered each year in January. The instruction is geared for third graders and older children.
Following through on the promises made in baptism to our children, each year all third graders (and older children new to the congregation) are invited to a Bible instruction class and to receive a gift Bible (NRSV translation) in worship.
